We’re pleased to announce the latest scientific publications from the SAF€RA-funded SafeLiBatt project, which focuses on the safety and risk assessment of 1st and 2nd life lithium-ion batteries.
The project addresses critical safety concerns with both first-life and second-life LIBs, particularly in their repurposing for energy storage systems (BESS). The team conducted extensive tests on battery aging, thermal runaway (TR), and toxic gas emissions, offering valuable insights into battery safety and sustainability.
