EMSA Report on Hydrogen as Fuel: Part II Now Available

We would to inform you about the release of the second part of the study on the safety of hydrogen as fuel on ships, conducted for the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA).

This latest installment delves into the reliability and safety analysis of equipment and safety-critical systems used in hydrogen-powered vessels. The findings include a detailed analysis of potential failure modes and provide a solid foundation for creating a risk modelling framework for hydrogen-fuelled ships.

This report is supporting the maritime industry in the transition to safer, cleaner maritime transport solutions.
