Objectives

  • Remind participants of the basic regulations and good practice relating to the transport of dangerous goods in port areas using IMDG and ADR.

  • To provide the keys to using the information contained in these international regulations to ensure the safety of TDG.

  • Day 1 morning: Welcome, tour de table, introduction to the programme

  • Day 1 afternoon: Basics of UN classification

  • Day 2 morning:

    • Labelling and signage

    • Approval of packaging and choice of containers

    • Choice of transport modes and control

  • Day 2 afternoon:

    • Safety advisors

    • Training ADR drivers and other participants

    • On-board documents (in the vehicle)

  • Day 3 morning:

    • Loading, unloading and handling instructions

    • TDG safety

    • The TDG of waste

  • Day 3 afternoon:

    • Organisation of emergency services in the event of an accident

    • Exemption regimes

    • Exercises with case studies

  • Day 4 morning:

    • Exercises with case studies

  • Day 4 afternoon: Questions and answers, round-table discussion, closing

    session and presentation of certificates
